Our cattery is currently run from our home as three dedicated cat rooms, looking out onto half an acre of garden grounds. Additionally surrounded by four acres of private land in the heart of Ayrshire countryside, The Purr Hotel is located 8 miles from Ayr.
We are the holiday destination for your feline family member, and are therefore proud to say we look at boarding differently from many other places. As a result, we aim to make each guest’s stay as fun-filled as possible!
Check-In is between 4-6pm, and Check-Out is between 9-11am. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged, if availability allows.
By contacting us for our boarding services, you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions (click here to view) Unfortunately, we cannot accept any unneutered females, or currently any kittens under the age of four months. All guests must be vaccinated/titre tested for Feline Enteritis (FPV), Feline Herpesvirus (FHV), and Feline Calicivirus (FCV) as well as any other vaccinations your vet would recommend.
The Purr Hotel’s mission is to provide the best cat boarding accommodation to Ayr and beyond. We wish to raise the overall boarding standards expected in a cattery – providing a relaxing environment for every guest to enjoy their holiday. Guests don’t share a room with cats from other families, and unlike a cattery they can’t see the guests in other rooms either.
Pets are a member of the family, and they should feel as close to home as is possible when staying with us. Each guests needs are different, and we treat every pet as an individual.
We believe pets need to be mentally stimulated, so we try to do different things to get their brains going and prevent boredom. Cats are curious by nature, and we’re always thinking up new ways to entertain our guests.
There’s always something to do or listen to whether a human is present or not. As a result, this helps to keep them occupied and relaxed – reducing stress and making their stay a holiday. Which is how it should always feel!
The Purr Hotel are passionate about food. Our guests deserve the best, so we always aim to find the highest quality foods on the market to ensure your cat receives a biologically appropriate diet.
Large rooms offer country views over local Ayr farmer’s fields, and plenty bird-watching opportunities as well. With large cat trees to lounge around on too! We also offer a chauffeur service. Whether you’re located in Ayr, or if you live up in Glasgow south side, we cover a large area for pick up and drop offs.
